Star Trek 1.0

This version of Mayfield’s 1971 Star Trek game for modern Windows computers is very faithful to the original compared to the original. It has a more visual interface, but still requires a lot of actions from the original, such as manually activating short range sensors to see the current grid and keeping the original navigation system.

Instead of a text interface, it uses a menu system, which is a bit clunky and buttons would be nicer. It does provide easier access to all the library computer systems, such as calculating directions for navigation and phasers, but you still have to remember the information and input it yourself.

This is an interesting version of the original game as it keeps thing the same, it just adds visuals and a different way to input commands while still requiring you to do all the work.
