We start with Jack and Carter arriving at Stargate Command, reporting that they successfully destroyed Anubis’ weapon, but that Daniel and Jonas are still on the ship, and it went into hyperspace before they could attempt anything. We cut to Jonas, still gloating about destroying the weapon. Aubis says he knows Daniel is on the ship and his time hiding from sensors is running out, and talks about how the mind probe showed him naquadria, and how it could power the weapon. He tells Jonas to look out the window: they’re hovering above his home city of Kelowna.
Back at Stargate Command, Hammond informs Jack and Carter that the Tok’ra don’t know where Anubis is and discuss theories of why Yu didn’t turn up. There’s an incoming wormhole and a radio call from Dreylock of the Kelownan High Council, saying they are under attack. Hammond says they still won’t interfere with their war, but they say they’re being attacked by a Gou’ald called Anubis.

On Lord Yu’s ship, Teal’c has been detained. The first prime sends the other Jaffa away and says that Lord Yu didn’t betray him on purpose. He says Yu is not well and spends most of his time in the sarcophagus, and that he’s so old that he probably can’t take a new host. The first prime essentially describes dimensia, forgetting details and getting angry while remind. He doesn’t want to betray his master, but Teal’c warbs him that him and his Jaffa are in danger.
Jack and Carter arrive on Langara and are informed they are in a bunker under the outskirts of Kelowna city. He uses his Tok’ra communicator to speak to Daniel, who is hiding in Anubis’ ship and wasn’t aware of where they were. Daniel says he knows where Jonas’ cell is, but that he’s a bit lost and has three hours until the sensor blocker wears off. Jack assures him they they do this kind of stuff all the time. On Lord Yu’s ship, Teal’c and the first prime contact Ba’al and say there’s an opportunity to take out Anubis. He’s appalled at the suggestion that Yu is no longer capable of leading, but seems happy that Yu’s troops will follow him to battle and agrees. Teal’c asks to be taken to a Stargate.

In the bunker, Jack and Carter find out that the Kelownans met the demands of Anubis and gave him their entire stockpile of naquadria. Jack says it doesn’t work well, but Carter points out that Anubis might be able to get it to work. They’re also told that Anubis is rounding up archeologists and scientists – possibly finding the Stargate, which was moved to a secure location when their war started – one which ended swiftly when they used the naquadria bomb. The representatives of the other countries arrived for peace talks when Anubis shows up. Jack suggests bringing them here and telling them everything, but Drayton thinks Anubis will just leave. Jack says that if he works out how to use his weapon, he’ll enslave everyone
On Anubis’ ship, Anubis tells his scientist to work out how to use naquadria to power the weapon while Daniel manages to get in touch with Jonas, and that he’s figuring out a way to hell him out. In the bunker, all repedentacies arrived and the Stargate activated, Teal’c arrives and Jack says they’ve been told of the plan, and they’re not happy, but Teal’c says it’s their only chance.

Teal’c explains that Ba’al is ready to strike Anubis if they agree for their location to be given to him, and that he has agreed to leave once Anubis has been defeated. The other countries think Anubis is a Kelownan problem, but Jack points out that Anubis won’t care about borders, and that Anubis won’t care about borders. But he needs all three to agree before going ahead.
Anubis prepares to test the weapon on the city while Carter lets Daniel know that Ba’al will be arriving in a few hours to take out the ship. Daniel has 15 left before sensors can see him, so he’ll need to act fast. The test fire goes ahead, but it overloads and explosions trigger across the ship. Anubis has the scientist executed.

Daniel goes to Jonas’ cell and the forcefield is flickering, with enough of a gap for Jonas to jump through. They don’t know where to go now, so Daniel picks a direction. On the planet, Jack asks for a few extra teams as “technical advisors” to have some backup. They get a report that Jaffa are ransacking museums, Carter asks what he might be looking for and they think he’s trying to find some Gou’ald tablets.
Carter figures out that they’re looking for a crystal, which contains information about the original naquadria experiments. It was assumed to be decorative, so Jonas won’t know about it. She wants to find it first, as Anubis might be able to use the data to adapt his systems. Dreylock tells them where it is. They don’t want to draw attention to the building, so Sam and Teal’c go alone.

While figuring out the way off the ship, Daniel and Jonas discuss SG-1. Jonas is happy to hand the position back over to Daniel, and Daniel says that Jack said he was a good man, which Jonas is surprised form Jonas suggests using the rings, and that a ring platform was discovered alongside the Stargate.
Sam finds the crystal but are ambushed by Jaffa, who were waiting for for them to do the hard work. They take Sam bad Teal’c hostage but the rings activated – it’s Daniel and Jonas. They used zats to fight, and Sam and Teal’c are able to get the upper hand in the confusion, they all head back to the bunker.

The return the crystal and one of the Kelownan leaders, Hale take it and Jaffa appear. He says he’s made his own deal with Anubis, and that he will leave them alone and ransack the other countries. They have a spy saying that one country is building a bomb so just have a mine, but their representative says they stole it from the other country. Jonas pipes in, saying that this bickering between nations is what Anubis wants.
Anubis’ first prime, good old Her’ak, tells Jonas to stop, hitting him when Jonas leads for them to work together. Hale hands over the crystal and Her’ak shoots him, then announces that everyone else will be executed publicly. Anubis starts bombing the city as Ba’al appears and starts attacking Anubis, causing the bunker to start shaking.

SG-1 push off the Jaffa holding them and a firefight breaks out, a Jaffa shoots at Daniel but Jonas jumps in front of it and takes the hit. Jonas is injured, but fine. Anubis’ ship explodes, but we see an escape ship shoot out, with Anubis on board. He’s not finished yet.
We cut to Stargate Command, Jonas is wearing with solders forming a corridor. The other nations have agreed to create a joint council, but only if Jonas is the representative for Kelowna, and Jonas has agree. Hammond salutes him and everyone says their goodbyes. Jonas thanks Daniel for giving him the chance to see the universe (and it seems Daniel is getting his full memory back), Teal’c says he has the heart of a warrior, Carter tells him to keep in touch and Jack says he’s earned his position. Jonas heads though the Stargate.

It’s a really good episode, and it’s nice they they took two episodes to tie up Jonas’ story rather than just throwing him aside instantly. They created a good reason for him to leave.
