Catlateral Damage: Remeowstered is game where you’re a cat that is upset with their human servants, and feel the need to punish them by ruining the house by doing what cats love: pushing objects onto the floor.
After a brief tutorial explaining basic controls of running, jumping and swiping, you begin the first level by choosing one of three starter cats (there are loads more to unlock in the main game). You are then given a list of objectives, the main one being knocking over a number of specific items. The other objectives in the first level are finding a cat toy and using a scratching post.
In the level, there are secret actions that you can do to find treats (used to power up your kitties or unlock cat photos), one such example is unrolling the toilet roll. Luckily for the cat, the toilet roll is the right way (a playful kitty is the only reason to put the toiler roll the wrong way).
Causing mayhem is very tiring. Once your energy meter is depleted, it’s time to sleep and the level ends. There are some special spots where you can take a quick nap to recover some energy and carry on smashing things.
Catlateral Damage is definitely a fun idea for the game, but at the same time, I don’t think it’s something that has longevity to it. The fairly short demo felt like it was sufficient enough to play around with the game, and I’m not sure the full game can offer much variety with the concepy.
