Following on immediately from the previous episode, Bonner and the grand arrive on the planet he considers “safe”. We cut to Stargate Command where the shapeshifter has convinced the general to change all the Iris codes, rejecting previous ones. Bonner tried to dial earth, but his device is saying the Iris isn’t opening. They get attacked by giant bug, but they dodge it and it goes though the Stargate, getting splattered
It also seems that their radio frequency has been classified as background noise, so they can’t communicate either. Bonner says they’ll need to keep moving so the Tlak’kahn can’t follow them. He mentions squirrels, which Harrison mocks, before both he and the Ancient (now in a cocoon) get eaten by a giant squirrel-like alien.

Bonner explains that these squirrels store their food for later, and manages to rescue them, although Harrison crushes a hut that belongs to a member of an alien species called the Thorn, friendly creatures Bonner encounters on a previous mission. They all appear to be ill, but Bonner doesn’t seem shocked, as they got ill on his previous mission. He says he developed a cold when he got back.
All of a sudden Bonner is extremely concerned with the Thorn, not wanting to abandon them. He and Seattle (who once spoke to a healer) stay to help while the others decide to head to a new world to protect the ancient. However, as they approach the Stargate, the Tlak’kahn show up, led by Da’kyll, with lots of troops and tanks. Harrison contacts Bonner, but has a plan.

The Tlak’kahn capture Stacey, Ec’co and the ancient, but stay as they also want to kill Bonner. Seattle, with her empath powers, feels something happening with the ancient. The cocoon and a winged creature hatches and flies off. In the chaos, everyone escapes but the Tlak’kahn invade the village instead, asking for Bonner.
He decides to turn herself in, heading off on his own. Stacey wonders if her uncle really is helping the Tlak’kahn, cries for a second then reveals a device on her wrist. We see the ancient following Bonner. When Bonner confronts Da’kyll, he says he was going to destroy the village anyway. As he goes to shoot Bonner, the Ancient uses telekinesis to stop him.

A fight breaks out and the Tlak’kahn either flee or get captured. The Ancient speaks to them (in broken English). She calls the team good and the Tlak’kahn bad. Ec’co asks for a name and she says she hasn’t been given one. Harrison jokes about a dragon-like teacher has and she decides on the name Draga.
Draga manages to heal all the Thorn and decides to join Bonner and the team, explaining that she doesn’t know anything about the Ancients (no genetic memory). They all head off though the Stargate for another adventure.
