The team exit the stargate in the middle of the battle, with Polar Bear-like aliens fighting the Tlak’kahn. They help fight the Tlak’kahn, causing the Tlak’kahn to be captured by the Ursons. Bonner asks questions about how large their forces are, but doesn’t get any answers. While the Tlak’kahn are thrown in jail, the team are shown an ice palace and are thanked for their help in fighting the bad ones.
When Bonner asks if he can speak to the prisoners, his request is denied, but they’re all welcome to stay. Bonner does note some oddities to the rest of the team – these Tlak’kahn are wearing fur coats, but regular armour as atmospheric controls and didn’t have much in the way of weapons. They’re interrupted by an alarm.

A young Tlak’kahn has snuck into the city, trying to free the prisoners. He flees and Seattle gives chase, and the kid is absolutely terrified when she pins him down, but he manages to escape. She decides to follow him stealthily. Meanwhile, Bonner uses the distraction to talk to the prisoners. The leader, Nik’hta says that Bonner hasn’t got a clue about what is going on. Once he finds out that his son escapes, he gives his side of the story.
The Tlak’kahn on this planet decided to flee from their people as they got fed up with their council always being at war with others. We see Seattle reaching their farming village, confirming their story. These people have stopped being warriors in favour of farmers – and have the ability to grow crops in this climate. Which seems to be what the Ursons are after. As they discuss their fault of judging based on looks (although Ec’co still doesn’t buy it), the Ursons overhear and attack.

With Draga destroying the central pillar of their ice palace (and causing it to collapse), they manage to escape, with the Tlak’kahn prisoners using the chaos (and Bonner’s weapon) to join them. As they rush to their village, Ec’co continues to voice his displeasure, to which Nik’hta says that Ec’co is like the rest of the team on the inside, and he himself is not like the Tlak’kahn leaders inside.
The Ursons pursue and a fight breaks out on a frozen lake, with the team use to their advantage. The Urson leader ends up falling into the water. Bonner asks Nik’hta if he wants war or peace, so Nik’hta pulls the leader out of the water and says that he is not a prisoner, as that’s what warriors do.

We cut to the Urdons arriving at the Tlak’kahn village, not to fight, but to trade instead. It seems the Tlak’kahn have agreed to share technology and they can work together to make both of their lives better. With the Tlak’kahn being in so many episodes, it was nice to finally have a bit of dimension and interest to them.
