HeroClix is a minauture combat system designed for superhero games. It was very well liked and went into many different properties.
When it moved onto Star Trek, it used ships as the models, but the gameplay was not changed to make it feel any different, it still felt like a superhero game as all the movement and abilities were the same, they were just renamed.

I’ve never played it but I have a few of the characters on my shelves. My favourite is Gul Madred complete with his five lights
I had a sizeable collection of these at one point. I eventually sold most of them on eBay, though, as I rarely played. I just couldn’t get over the awkwardness of converting a superhero game to a starship combat game. Plus, ST Attack Wing made this game redundant IMO.
A lot of these poor quality minis were also used in attack wing- which was also a repurposed game engine.
With that labeling system, the age old question of who would win between The Enterprise and Superman can now be answered 😜
Tbh this game looks a lot of fun
It was a somewhat afordable way to collect ship miniatures. Even if in some cases the choices in colors were horrendous (those metallic green birds of prey…)
OK, well, those are absolutely adorable.
