For compilations, I won’t be playing through all the included games again, but rather looking at what the package contains and the various features contained within. The Konami Collector’s Series was the first time the original Castlevania games were available in PC (outside of a dodgy DOS port), although the branding was short lived as the only other game was an arcade compilation on Game Boy Advance.

This includes the first three NES Castlevania games and two Contra games, emulated fairly okay. It’s very much a barebones release, with the main features being saved states and the ability to assign buttons. The menus are quite ugly as well. For anyone desperate to play this games in 2002, it was certainly an option.

Fine
The total size of the game is just over five megabytes, and the disc includes, in addition to the games themselves, a trial version of the simple but modern game “Dance Dance Revolution” and Adobe Acrobat Reader version 5 for viewing game manuals.
