For the 40th Anniversary of Castlevania, Konami released a new version of the original Castlevania for mobile phones for absolutely free, available to claim for a limited time, but if you do, you get to keep it. Unlike previous mobile versions, this is the full game, no cut down levels like the previous mobile versions for Java phones.

That said, this is just the original ROM running in a very basic emulator. You can load and save a single save state and the screen is tiny with no options. The worst part about this version is is that there is no controller support, meaning you have to play with dreadful touch screen controls.

The Castlevania: 40th Anniversary mobile game is a direct port of the original NES version, meaning everything from its original visuals to its controls has been kept as it was in the original release, just that now everything is controlled via touchscreen controls instead, with the title supporting full offline play.
