The team arrives on a muddy, sulphur smelling planet, home to people who live in the mud. There’s a large stone monolith that the ancient Draga is drawn to, connecting to it telepathically. However, something goes wrong and it starts to fall. The aliens try to keep it from falling into a pool of mud, but Harrison falls in, getting rescued by one of the aliens, Bogwin. She says that Harrison now belongs to her, as that is the custom on the planet.
They repair the monolith and head to the nearby village, meanwhile the Tlak’khan receive a list of all planets Bonner has visited from the spy in Stargate Command. Bonner’s team has some food, right after Harrison makes a fool of himself and complains about having to stay near the woman that saved him. We see the Tlak’khan arrive.

Stacey confronts her uncle about what happened at Stargate Command – she saw him betray them, despite his constant denials, she still can’t comprehend how it’s possible. As they argue, the Tlak’khan attack, managing to capture Draga and Stacey. Everyone else retreats, with the Tlak’khan saying that they’ll come back for their friends (they could at least secure the ancient, but they’re not very clever).
Bonner tries to rescue Stacy (and ends up getting captured as well), while the rest defend the villagers. Harrison saves the life of Bogwin, who is upset that their bond is now split. She doesn’t want him to risk his life, but they all head off in pursuit of the others. The Tlak’khan use the monolith to get the location of the Ancient homeworld and take their captors with them.

It turns out it’s a trap – anyone not an Ancient reading the monolith will be given the location of a volcanic planet with no DHD. Bonner and Stacey fight off the Tlak’khan while Draga uses her powers to dial the stargate, with them all retreating and stranding the Tlak’khan on the planet.
With everyone reunited and ready to head off, Bogwin takes off her outer layers – it seems these people are much more humanoid, and these suits are to keep the bugs at bay. Harrison is amazed at how attractive she actually is. Bonner realises that the Tlak’khan know his previous missions, so he sets the Stargate for somewhere he hasn’t been before and they set off.
