To promote the third Sonic the Hedgehog film in cinemas, McDonald’s launched a Sonic 3 themed happy meal. The toys were plush balls with the faces of Sonic characters printed on them, but a web game was also released alongside it, giving you the choice to play as Sonic, Knuckles, Tails or Shadow.
The game is a simple maze game. You turn to face a direction and then roll until you hit a wall. The objective is to collect all the gems within so many moves, with the game giving you a very generous number. There are only three levels: London, Tokyo and the Eclipse Cannon. It’s simple, but it functions fine.
