Just like the previous hunting game I’ve played, this is an atrocious first person shooter with terrible controls and boring enemies. This one doesn’t bother to tell you a single thing about its mechanics, though, leaving you to just guess at what you need to buy, unless you’re already an experienced hunter.

You pick a map, buy some licenses and just slowly run around to shoot animals, there’s really not much to it at all. When you shoot, the camera follows the bullet, and shooting in the sky and seeing how far it goes is much more exciting than shooting animals.

Poor
The presentation of hunting has been improved, but the “action” of hunting is still a mystery for those who are fans of something called a “game.” With so many glaring errors and a fishing system that was developed in a couple days there’s little to like. As a simulator of a long and slow sport, Cabela’s Outdoor Adventures succeeds, but can’t it be a little more fun next time? Please?
