It seems like during this generation, everyone tried their hand at a more arcade-style football game. This time it was Gusto Games on behalf of Acclaim, who were falling apart. The state of Acclaim at this time can certainly be seen in this game, as it’s bare-bones, trying to be edgy and just not well put together.

The most notable thing about this is that the pitches are massive, making the game feel slow and empty. The pitches also have a unique issue – the fences at the side get in the way of the camera a lot of the game and disrupts what you’re playing. Even the core gameplay is pretty bad, with extremely unresponsive controls and a feeling that nothing works properly. A big dud in a busy field.

Worst
Quite simply, Urban Freestyle is broken. It doesn’t work. It’s a shoddy half-finished effort that feels like it was shoved out of the door before anyone got the chance to add any playability.
