I praised EA’s previous NCAA college football game for having a great atmosphere about it. Sadly, that is all gone here. You can still create a team and design a stadium, but the menus and music are just like that from the regular version.

The gameplay does a terrible job categorising plays, making it something that’s really just got those who know the playbooks inside out. Madden 03 did a great job making the sport accessible, what happened to that?

Poor
NCAA Football 2004 is a game so good, it has no competition. That’s right, Sega backed off of this year’s college football race, so if you’re a fan of amateur athletics, this is the only game available this season. Not that that’s a bad thing. In fact, even if there was a choice, there really wouldn’t be a choice, NCAA Football 2004 is just that damn fun.
