The first Incredibles game had quite a few problems, it was a dull beat ’em up. However, it showed some promise when it came to levels featuring Dash and Violet. This game is a sequel to the film, so they had a lot more freedom in creating levels for each of the family members. So I was quite disappointed when Mr Incredible sends all of his family away at the start of the game, with Mr Incredible and Frozone opting to save the world on their own.

Strangely, Mr Incredible is quite useless in combat. When playing in your own, you can switch between the two and you’ll likely be playing as Frozone and just swapping with Mr Incredible to open a few doors. A lot of enemies need freezing before being attacked, and it’s good to use Frozone’s powers on the others anyway.

To make matters worse, most of the game is chasing The Underminer underground, meaning that most of the game is just boring sewer like levels. You’ll have some basic puzzles every now and then, but most of the game is mindless fighting.

Poor
While we wouldn’t recommend buying this, as a way of keeping youngsters quiet for a weekend, it’s got to beet sitting through the film for the 300th time…

Remake or remaster?
