The biggest change to this Tiger Woods game is that there’s a huge focus on character creation, with making a new golfer being one of the main things on the menu. The character creation is quite robust, and there’s plenty of additional costumes and equipment to unlock, and you can spend money on improving your stats, giving you a reason to play though competitions.

The game also has a ton of courses. All the old courses are included alongside seven new ones, for a total of 20 courses (spread across two discs). These are a mix of real courses and fantasy courses, with some nice layouts. The controls are similar to the previous game and, once again, it’s a faff to look around the course or change the camera, as either analogue stick activates your swing (which is something I still can’t get accurate with).

On top of many different courses, there’s also plenty of different ways to play, and you can even mix and match holes from different courses. If you like golf, this will certainly keep you busy for a very long time. Speed Golf makes a return, but I don’t quite understand the scoring as I kept winning even when the other person is slowest. If you like the controls, this is very comprehensive, I just wish it had a traditional control scheme as well.

Fun
You’ll have to stick with the basic selection of hairstyles, and there’s sadly no Hitler moustache available, but other bits and pieces, including hundreds of items of clothing, can be unlocked as rewards for progress in the game.
