The continuation of the WWE Wrestlemania games. This feels more of the same with a few tweaks, as now there’s more button mashing and quick time events in the fighting. The package overall feels smaller than the previous game and, while the character creator has more options, absolutely everything takes time to load and it takes an eon to do anything in it.

The previous game had a strange but interesting story mode. The story mode returns here, but it’s just a standard “wrestle lots of people to make it up the ranks” kind of affair. You play as your custom character, but can’t use female wrestlers in it. Overall, a very sloppy release.

Poor
Ultimately, Day of Reckoning feels like a scaled-down version of last year’s Smackdown Here Comes The Pain for PS2 but with added graphical sheen.
