When it came to Piglet’s Big Game, the publishers must not have liked that the developers tried something different, with some unique ideas to make a well made kids horror game. I applauded the game for not just being a standard cheap licenced game, but when it came to making a sequel, the developers had to make exactly that.

Because this is very clearly made using the same engine as Piglet’s Big Game (the developer name is different as Doki Denki Studio closed down and reformed under a new name), but all the interesting mechanics are gone, such as the scare-based battle system. Interestingly, the game does load the combat settings when a heffelumlp catches you, but it just loads a fail animation.

So without the combat or any of the interesting level designs or ideas, it’s a very dreary game of picking up objects and taking them to where you’re told. The levels reuse the same locations, with just a new area added each time. It’s such a huge step down from the previous game.

Poor
This is, however, a very well made game in a genre of half-hearted license and knock-offs. We wouldn’t play this nor should you, but if you want to keep a five-year old quiet…
