Croket! (pronounced like the battered potato croquettes) is a Japanese manga/anime in the early 2002 and I apologise to any fans regarding the translation of the name and the GameCube menu snippet. I’m not quite sure what it’s trying to say and it doesn’t seem to relate to much on the English wikipedia page, other than the word Banker – which is the term for people who collect magic coins.

The first level was a very basic beat-’em-up. Hit your way to coloured crystals, defeat the enemies and move on. It seemed like you could stun lock every enemy with Croket’s hammer. You can also smash all their buildings to find collectables. In one, I found a cat person and was whisked off to an arena. After defeating him, he became my special attack. At the end, there was a 1-on-1 boss fight, who could also be stun locked. It wasn’t very exciting.

The second level was a platforming level, which reminded me a bit of the first Doraemon N64 game. While that was notable for being a competent licensed 3D platformer so soon after Super Mario 64, it’s certainly not impressive here. I reached one section where you had to jump off platforms into whirlwinds and get deposited on another floating platform. It’s a trial and error segment and after spending ages there, I eventually gave up. It’s horrible level design.

Poor
Combine the meat mixture with the mashed potatoes. Allow the mixture to cool slightly. When the mixture is warm, but not hot, start to form the patties. The patties should be oval-shaped and about 7.5 cm in length.

Remake or remaster?
Perhaps a collection of the games for the fans.
