Another year, another FIFA. The biggest thing I have to say about this one is that it feels somewhat muted – something about the presentation just makes it seem like it doesn’t really matter and that there’s no stakes. The gameplay is smooth, but there’s just nothing notable about it.

Whatever happens, the basics of a really good game are here. Just sort out that silly flaw and the players’ speed and we’ll have a cracking football game. But after more than 15 years of FIFA games, we shouldn’t have to be saying this sort of thing.
