When I started plating this, my partner asked me if I had played this exact fishing game before. I hadn’t, but she had a very good point. This looks, sounds and plays extremely similar to Top Angler, which is a rip-off of Sega Bass Fishing. You have a short time limit and over the top rock music to catch a few fish. It’s even the same developer as Top Angler, just a different publisher.

You can move your boat around a little bit, in full 3D this time, but it’s clunky and is far too slow to fit in with the speedy nature the game is supposed to have. This one does try to have more traditional fishing tournaments, but the arcade style likely won’t interest the people that want to do all that.

Poor
Mark Davis Pro Bass Challenge is good, clean, and safe for the entire family fun. Natsume earns high points in the respect column for releasing games like this one. Remember: “feed a man a fish, and he eats one meal, but teach a man to fish and he eats for the rest of his life.” Valuable real world skills can be learned.
