Baseball games tend to blur together when doing retrospectives like this, to the point that I initially thought that this was the first MVP Baseball game I’ve covered. Says a lot of how memorable this series is. Looking at my last review, I had an issue with batting, which isn’t as much of an issue this time. The pinching is also different, featuring a really unintuitive golf-style power bar.

There are a few minigames, such as one where you have to use ramps to get your ball to go longer distances, but ultimately it’s just another average baseball game in an overcrowded field of them.

Fine
It has been a joy to witness the progression of the MVP series. MVP 2005 addresses, corrects, and improves upon almost every issue fans had with the previous instalments. With the addition of Owner Mode and the mini-games, EA Canada’s proven that it wasn’t just polishing up last year’s version.
