Naruto is an anime that wasn’t just popular in Japan, but the English voice version was also massive for a time. I know nothing about it, although ninjas with silly hair is really all you need to know for this game. This is a one on one fighter that focuses on spectacle.

In the story mode, you’ll fight every character (a couple more than once) with story in between, while these are just static images of the characters, it is fully voice acted, and you’ll spend far more time listening to people speaking than you will fighting.

The combat is more about flashy effects than mechanics, with lots of different attacks that have fancy effects (including one confusing one where Naruto turns into a tall naked woman surrounded by clouds for a second). There doesn’t feel like much depth to the combat and you can breeze through by mashing. You have a power meter that can be used for a dodge attack or a powerful, extremely long attack, with an animation you’ll get fed up with very quickly.

For fans of the show who want to watch some of the characters duke it out, this is enjoyable enough. That said, this is presumably based very early on in the show as there are very few characters in the game, and not many options to play

Fine
What’s so disappointing is that you won’t be able to see too much of his power, since Clash of Ninja only goes up through the Bridgebuilder Arc, which for those of you watching the anime on Cartoon Network, know to be a very early chapter. The story mode can easily be beaten in around twenty minutes, much less if you bypass the intervening cutscenes. Also, because of the small amount of characters introduced at this point of the plot, only eight characters total can be used

Remake or remaster?
Perhaps a remaster that combines all four of these games.
