With the amount of yearly sports titles I’ve covered, it’s getting more and more difficult to come up with new things to explain how marginally different some of the mare. Other reviews of NBA 2K3 make note of some small gameplay tweaks compared to 2K2 and some bug fixes, but that’s all there seems to be. Just like the original, this is probably great if you want a tactical simulation of basketball, but I just found it slow and dull like the previous year.
Fine
NBA 2K3, the newie in the gradually more impressive Sega Sports line, introduces itself via an ESPN news reports, and never looks back. It has the charisma, it has the visuals, it has the quick-fire passing, it has rosters (shedloads of them), and it has the ring-obliterating dunking. In short, it’s probably the best b-ball game yet. Maybe even ever.
