The developers seemed to take complaints of NHL 2005 to heart, as this feels more like 2004. I thought 2005 was a good improvement due to its more arcadey feel. As a result, I didn’t like this one all that much. It does have an alright team creation tool, and all the regular modes you’d expect from a game like this.

The result is an end-to-end, attack-minded hockey sim that evokes wonderful memories of The Old Days.
