It’s difficult to keep talking about these games when there are usually very few changes. It’s another baseball game with chibi characters, and has a story RPG mode. Luckily, there is one feature that the game asked me about when I started a match, it asked if I was a beginner.

Selecting yes and it will automatically adjust settings to make things easier for you, and it actually seems possible to get the ball past the fielders and score some actual points. It may be slightly easy, even for me, but I can’t complain too much as it’s the most fun I’ve had with a Power Pros game.

Fun
All of this amounts to a really fun personalized sports experience that I’ve yet to see in an American game. While the language barrier can be a bit intimidating, the ‘My Life’ mode has proven to be a lot of fun. Powerful Pro 10 is far from your average American baseball game, but that’s really a good thing. If you can’t read Japanese but love baseball, Powerful Pro is still worth a look as an alternative to the limited American GameCube offerings.
