From what I can tell, the cartoon The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy is about the Grim Reaper trying to learn about humanity from two kids, with Mandy being a psychopath. He keeps strange items called “Mojo Balls” in a chest and discovers that they’ve all been stolen, with the balls causing people to fight, creating an excuse for one of the most budget kind of licensed games: an arena fighter.

There’s not much to the gameplay of this one, but it does at least have a few different game modes, such as one where you have to raise flags to score points, one where you have to hold a skill for the longest and one where you have to defeat random enemies. It also has a basic story and mission mode, so at least this isn’t as bare bones as most licensed aerna fighters.

In the end, The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy is a title for fans of the show. With the only unlockables being stages, characters and concept artwork to appeal to the fans, those who couldn’t care less about Fred Fredburger will see no reason to play the game more than once. Too simplistic for most gamers, it is a good choice for those who have friends who also are Grim experts. Anyone else is advised to avoid this game like the plague, and seek out one of the many better party games available on any system.
