If you expected this to be a generic co-op beat-em-up that was popular for licensed games at the time, then you’d be exactly right. This does have a unique plotline with the heroes starting by playing a videogame of themselves, all fully voiced with some good animation in the cutscenes (using the in-game models, not the 2D cartoon), so friends of the show could get some enjoyment while playing with others.

But, despite some screen-filling special attacks, nothing feels like it has any impact and there’s nothing actually interesting about how the combat actually works, and the Titans don’t really feel that different from each other, with their wildly different abilities now representing different basic attacks.

Poor
While straightforward and uninspired, Teen Titans still provides enough content for young fans of the show. It’s not terrible by any means, but there’s a good chance seasoned gamers simply won’t find much to keep their attention. As a title aimed at kids, though, it’s not half bad.
